What is Mahjong Solitaire?

Mahjong Solitaire is a single-player tile-matching game — different from four-player Mahjong. You clear a layout of 144 tiles by removing matching pairs of free tiles until the board is empty.

When is a Mahjong tile free?

A tile is free when no tile rests on top of it and at least one of its long (left or right) sides is not blocked by another tile. Only free tiles can be selected and matched.

How do Flowers and Seasons match in Mahjong Solitaire?

Any Flower tile matches any other Flower, and any Season tile matches any other Season. Every other tile must match exactly by suit and number.
